PURPOSE:

The Plant Engineer will drive the maintenance and capital investment process in providing engineering and technical support for various systems, redesigning existing equipment, researching and specifying new systems. They will analyze efficiencies, test new products, processes, components and materials and lead the implementation of waste and cost savings projects and programs. The projects and processes will include direct manufacturing lines, support and infrastructure equipment, services both internal and external as well as buildings and grounds

Responsibilities

  • Support production and maintenance teams with technical expertise developing individuals skill sets for overall performance

  • Identify and correct technical problems to maintain and improve manufacturing efficiencies in coordination with the Plant Manager

  • Manage assigned departmental budgets and projects

  • Lead and manage capital program

  • Monitoring process equipment service histories to improve maintenance reliability

  • Manage maintenance department including the Maintenance Manager and associates.

  • Lead OEE improvement throughout facility

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of related experience in a similar role

  • Degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Industrial Engineering

  • Ability to effectively multi-task

  • Ability to work with all levels of the organization
