PURPOSE:

The Assistant Supervisor directs and coordinates team members in a flexible packaging manufacturing operation. The Assistant Supervisor leads the team in ensuring that the customer’s specifications are being met, employees are being trained and quality is maintained.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Analyzes production schedule to plan work of team members and assigns work load to make sure the finished product is produced in a consistent and timely manner.

  • Trains team members in correct operating procedures, safety and quality policy procedures.

  • Directs team members in equipment production setups. During production monitors production equipment, raw materials and directs personnel in performing operations according to sound production methods to make sure a product is being produced and packaged that meets a customer's quality specifications and takes immediate corrective action to eliminate any causes of sub-standard product.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • A High school diploma or GED preferred

  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience in blown film manufacturing

  • Knowledge of supervisory skills

  • Ability to work any shift as needed
